Turning over moments memories
Lost in the current of those to come
Cutting days out making room for
What in the world were you waiting for?
Cry quietly for a chance to rest
Never knowing you'd be put to the test
Time to feel it all
The time you always wanted
If the world would wait for you
One chance of a lifetime
Silence all the noise that you created
What do you believe?
Tired of dreaming afraid of waking
Caught in the wake of what might have been
One side flying one side dying
Sacrificing the one to let you be heard
Shout loudly for a moment to be
And then from beyond a second to be free

I absolutely LOVE Dark Matter and think it is one of PT's best early tracks that holds up to even their best work in the early 2000s, and this particular live performance is sublime! kilimajaro

To me, "Trip The Life Fantastic" was a must-buy on "Bandcamp Friday" this time. It's one of the few "Drifting Sun" albums not already found in my collection, and an essential one, because it marks the beginning of the prolific collaboration of composer/keyboardist Pat Sanders and lyricist/singer Peter Falconer, which was, in my opinion, the best creative pairing the band ever had. BBT are standard bearers for modern prog, with a sound that evokes the spirit of those legendary 70s bands whilst managing to also be thoroughly contemporary. It's astonishing that over 30 minutes of music of this quality, with such high production values, is being made available for free - and their full albums are also very reasonably priced...
